Disaster Response

Commissioned Outreach Fellowship of North Carolina's Disaster Response efforts exists to bring the healing hope of the Gospel and the Love of Christ to areas impacted by natural disasters. As a fellowship of Churches we accomplish this by coming alongside the Calvary Chapel in the impacted area

providing encouragement, labor of love and allocating material resources as needed.

Pastor Sandy Adams was with us at Calvary Chapel Clayton during our annual Missions Conference this past January. During the Conference we had a session on Disaster Response in which we discussed ways for the Calvary Chapels in North Carolina to be better prepared to work together during natural disasters. Pastor Sandy shared his vision for Disaster Response during the session-watch the video above.

Our takeaways from that session was to start with a communication list of contacts from each Calvary Chapel. We're desiring a person from each Calvary who can take lead in communication for your Church in regards to Disaster Response. We urge you to delegate this off (Acts 6). We believe it's important during a disaster that as the Senior Pastor that you continue to love and feed your flock. With a good line of communication between our Churches we will be able to respond better to the needs of all of our congregations when a Natural Disaster occurs.

To facilitate this the Lord has raised up Mike Schweisthal who attends Calvary Chapel Clayton and is involved in various ministries. Mike is retired, has availability and has experience responding to Natural Disasters. For the past few months Mike has been working diligently to get us to this point.

Here is what we are asking you to do...
